HENDERSON-Katie "Kay" Locke House, 92 of Community House Road, died Sunday, August 11, 2019, in a local nursing home.Born on September 18, 1926 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. Locke and Bessie Biggs Locke.
Kay was an active member of Plank Chapel United Methodist Church, the Allen BibleClass, and the Senior Circle.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at 11:00 am in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Carolyn Roy.Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in La Crosse, Va.
Survivors include daughters, Jacqueline Carter and Cindi Mullis (David); grandchildren, Lewis Bowen, Stephanie Watts (Brandon), and Stephen Mullis; and great grandchildren, Tyler and Jake Watts.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jack" House, one sister, Dora L. Orr; and one brother, George Thomas Locke.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 until 11 am at J. M. White Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Plank Chapel Senior Circle, 3047 Bobbitt Road, Kittrell, NC27544.
