Kenneth Wayne Koochie Dickerson, age 62, a resident of 1303 Vicksboro Road, Lot 6, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at his home.Born on January 10, 1949 in Vance County, he was the son of the late George Bill Dickerson and Daisy Mosley Dickerson.Kenneth was an avid hunter and fisherman.He was medically retired and was a former tobacco farmer and construction worker.
A memorial service will be held Saturday April 2, 2011 at 2:00 pmin the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Rodney Inscoe.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Becky Arthur Dickerson of the home; two sisters, Ruby Ezell and Allene Catlett both of Henderson; three brothers, Thurston Dickerson and Thomas Tom Dickerson both of Henderson and Ray Dickerson of Warren County; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Charles Charlie Dickerson.
The family will receive friends Saturdayfrom 12:30 pm 2:00 pm at the J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Tom and Pat Dickerson at 506 Hickory Street.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the Kenneth Wayne Dickerson Funeral Fund, c/o J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, N. C.27536.
