Kenneth Blake Ellis

HENDERSON-Kenneth Blake Ellis, Sr., age 64, a resident of 4696 Hwy. 39 S, died Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Duke University Medical Center.Born on August 12, 1947 in Edgecombe County, he was the son of the late Albert Jackson Ellis and Rachel Blake Ellis.
He was a retired truck driver and was a member of Freedom Life Church Of God.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at Freedom Life Church Of God by the Rev. Jeff Prewer.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Pendergrass Ellis of the home; one son, Chip Loughlin and wife, Stephanie of Henderson; one brother, Jackie Ellis of Henderson; one sister; Nancy Murray of Kittrell; one grandchild, Brooke Loughlin; and two nephews, Jay Ellis and wife, Scarlette and Spencer Ellis and wife, Betsy.He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Blake Ellis, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at Freedom Life Church Of God.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Freedom Life Church Of God, PO Box 1543, Henderson, NC27536.
