Kirby Glenn Aiken, age 55, a resident of 1050 Tower Road, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at his home.Born in Petersburg, VA on December 2, 1960 he was the son of Betsy Bowen Aiken of Henderson and the late William Hartwell Aiken.He was a member of Cokesbury Volunteer Fire Department. He was formerly employed with Roses Stores, Inc., Vance Construction Co., and Steele Dynamics and was the owner and operator of a commercial contracting company.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM at Blessed Hope Baptist Church by Dr. Donald A. Perkinson and Rev. Jeff Prewer.Burial will follow in Cokesbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Tammy Pegram Aiken of the home; two sons, William Ray Aiken and wife Julie of Henderson and Colton Pegram Aiken of Wilmington; two grandchildren, Hayden Morton and Karsyn Morton; his sister, Kathy A. Abbott and husband David of Henderson; his brother, Jeff Aiken and wife Vanessa of Stedman; three nieces, Kelly Bondurant, Jessica Aiken and Samantha Aiken; and three nephews, Jordan Abbott, Ashton Roberson and Ethan Roberson.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a nephew, Christopher Aiken.
The family will receive friends Friday evening at J.M. White Funeral Home from 7:00 till 8:30 PM.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Mickey Jackson, Jesse Ray Pegram, Greg Harris, Chip White, Jacob Sutton, Ashton Roberson and Ethan Roberson.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the Cokesbury Volunteer Fire Department.
