Larry loved family events, including cookouts, boating, and occasional trips to the family beach home at Emerald Isle.He spent many weekend afternoons on Kerr Lake boating with family and friends, often stopping on a sandy beach to cook hot dogs.During his lifetime, he enjoyed golfing, piloting his own plane and snow skiing. He designed his own pig-cooking trailer, and mastered the art of cooking a pig.He was always happy to oblige when someone had an occasion to celebrate. He was very proud of his "world famous" chili, his "PaPa" sauce passed down from his father, and other delicacies. He and his brother (and many companions along the way) were able to travel all across the US, Mexico, Canada, Europe, and South America. Up until his final days, he was both an eternal optimist, and loved to have a good laugh. He loved his family, his friends, and his dog Bailey, and all living creatures.
