Larry Wayne Robinson

TOWNSVILLE- Larry Wayne Robinson, Sr.,80, of Townsville, NC died Monday, May 4, 2026, at UNC Health. Born January 30, 1946, Larry was the middle child and beloved son of the late Willie and Allie Mae Robinson.

Upon graduation from Middleburg High School, he took a job at the Glass Plant and continued working there more than forty years until his retirement.  A devoted husband to his late wife Sue Vann Robinson and father to their children, Larry W. Robinson, Jr. (Kimberly) and Suzanne R. Knott (CF) and proud grandfather of Joseph Knott.

He is also survived by his sister, Brenda Peoples, sister-in-law Cindy Robinson, and his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Robinson, and infant brother, Willie Andrew Robinson. 

Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing whether it was at Kerr Lake, the NC coast or Chesapeake Bay. For many years, he tended to a garden whereby neighbors at Hibernia enjoyed the fruits of his labor. His children are forever grateful for his 80 years and are comforted in the fact Larry is now reunited with his high school sweetheart, Sue.

A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Sunset Gardens Cemetery by Rev. Johnny Yount.

The family will receive friends following the service at Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
