Laura Vaye Ellington

WAKE FOREST-Laura Vaye Ellington, 67, a resident of 712 Wallridge Drive, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, from injuries received in an automobile accident.Born in Vance County on August 27, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Ellington and Myrtis Bailey Ellington.Laura was retired from the North Carolina Department of Revenue.She was a member of Unity Baptist Church where she was responsible for running the sound system for the worship services.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 19, 2017, at 6:30 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Calvin Hedgepeth.
She is survived by one daughter, Dee Dee Langley Smith (Eric) of Henderson; one son, David Langley, Jr. (Cindy) of Henderson; two brothers, Bill Ellington and Butch Ellington both of Henderson; four grandchildren, Raven Wallace, Erika Smith, Carrie Horton, and Lee Pegram; and three great grandchildren, Kylee Horton, Kaden Horton, and Elaina Pegram.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Chubby Ellington.
The family will receive friends following the service on Monday night at J. M. White Funeral home.At other times they will be at the home of David and Cindy Langley at 2109 Rock Mill Road.
