Laura King Smith

Laura Ellis King Smith, age 70, a resident of 880 Coble Blvd., died Friday, September 12, 2014, at her home.Born in Warren County on May 6, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Jackson"L.J." King and Annie Leigh Puckett King.
Laura was retired from Joel T. Cheatham, Inc. where she worked for more than 40 years.
A memorial service will be held Monday night, September 15, 2014, at 7:30 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Ronald S. Cava.
She is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Overton Crumpler and husband, Charles, Angela Overton Grissom, and Dana Leigh Renn-Reep and husband, Danny all of Henderson; four grandchildren, Howard Bass Trey Grissom, III, Amber Elizabeth Grissom, Stephen Jamerson Crumpler and wife, Athena, and Andrew Garrett Crumpler.
The family will receive friends Monday night prior to the service from 6 until 7:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Charles and Suzanne Crumpler at 1631 Oakdale Circle, Henderson, NC27536.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jerusalem United Methodist Church, c/o Barbara Walker, 575 Paschall Station Road, Warrenton, NC27589.
