Lawrence Glover Cifers, age 85, a resident of 820 Coble Blvd., died Sunday, January 2, 2010 at hishome.Born on August 3, 1925 in Dinwiddie, Virginia, he was the son of the late James Ernest Cifers and Mary Elizabeth Cliborne Cifers.Mr. Cifers was a retired Supervisor at Harriett & Henderson Yarns, Inc.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 3:00 pm at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. John Groves.
He is survived by two sons, Elmo Lawrence Cifers of Franklinton and James Keith Cifers of Bunn; two daughters, Mattie Jean C. Collie and Denise C. Lohry both of Louisburg; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
