Leon Langley

HENDERSON- Thomas Leon Langley, 92, of Breland Drive, died Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Maria Parham Health. Born June 5, 1932 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Lula Cannady Langley and Fletcher Langley. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from Clayton Homes. He was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at Blessed Hope Baptist Church by Dr. Donald Perkinson. Burial with military honors will follow at Sunset Gardens. Mr. Langley is survived by his wife, Josephine Lassiter Langley of the home; two daughters, Kim Pegram (Shawn) and Nicole “Nikki” Brooks (Johnathan) both of Henderson; a son, Thomas “Tommy” Leon Langley, Jr. of Henderson; four grandchildren, Christopher Pegram (Adrienne), Tyler Pegram (Amber), Johsua Langley and Johnathan Brooks, Jr.; and two great grandchildren, Leighton Pegram and Jackson Pegram. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Nick Langley; three brothers, David Langley, Kenneth Langley and Nick Langley; and a sister, Elizabeth Grissom. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Pegram, Tyler Pegram, Joshua Langley, Johnathan Brooks, Jr., Daryl Evans and Joshua Stallings. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday at Blessed Hope Baptist Church from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.; and at other times at the home of Kim and Shawn Pegram, 89 Christopher Tyler Lane, Henderson, NC 27537. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Blessed Hope Baptist Church, 741 Dabney Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
