Born on July 30, 1932 in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Lee Boyd and Cindy Dean Boyd.She was a former employee of the Heinz Pickle Plant, and was a member of Dexter Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Aubrey Florence and the Rev. Neil Woodlief.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Elmo Guerrant of the home; one son, Jerry Guerrant and wife, Jean of Henderson; three grandchildren, Crystal Allen and husband, Josh, Jerri Griffin and husband, Anthony, and Heather Guerrant and fianc, Brian Clayton; and six great grandchildren, Hunter, Sissy, Austin, Natalie, Hannah, and Katelin.She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Darlene Guerrant; one son, James William Guerrant; and three brothers, Jack Boyd, Willie Boyd, and Henry Boyd.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 465 Hicksboro Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Josh Allen, Brian Clayton, Anthony Griffin, Milton Boyd, Ricky Collie, Michael Whittemore, Edward Ayscue, and Glenn Ayscue.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
