Lessie Brame Hendricks

HENDERSON-Lessie Brame Hendricks, 102, of Coble Blvd., died Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at her home. Born October 22, 1923 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Mary Harper Brame and Sidney Epsen Brame and was the widow of Herbert Floyd Hendricks.

Mrs. Hendricks formerly worked for Roses Store and was a member of Clearview Church.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 4:00 PM at Clearview Church conducted by Dr. Abidan Shah. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.

She is survived by one daughter, Shelia H. McCall of Henderson; two sons, Jerry Hendricks (Mamie Faulkner) of Franklinton, and Larry Hendricks of Henderson; one brother, Woolard Brame of Roanoke Rapids; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy H. Dover; one grandson, David McCall; two daughters-in-law, Delores S. Hendricks and Barbara H. Hendricks; four sisters and one brother.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 28, 2026 prior to the service from 3:00 until 4:00 PM at Clearview Church. At other times at the home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Griffin, Dustin Brummitt, Brian Jones, Logan Jones, Noah Jones and Scott Grissom.
