Lewis Howard Edwards, 70, a resident of 2412 Oxford Road, died Thursday, July 13, 2017.Born on October 30, 1946 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Norman Wade Edwards and Estelle Stokes Edwards.He was a retired Human Resource Manager for H. J. Heinz Pickle Plant.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Marion D. Lark.
He is survived by his wife, Lou Barnes Edwards of the home; one son, Norman W. Edwards of Raleigh; one daughter, Elizabeth Edwards of Raleigh; one sister, Martha Hedgepeth of Henderson; and one brother, Charles Edwards of Henderson.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 1:30 until 3 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home on Oxford Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vance County Animal Shelter, 1243 Brodie Road, Henderson, NC27537.
