Libby Clarice Roberts

HENDERSON- Libby Clarice Hobgood Roberts, 60, of Hwy 39 North, died Friday, September 1, 2023, at Maria Parham Health. Born June 21, 1963 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Estelle Clayton Hobgood and Harvey Nelson Hobgood. She was a homemaker and member of Freedom Life Church of God. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Freedom Life Church of God by Rev. Jeff Prewer. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. Libby is survived by her husband, Donald Roberts of the home; two daughters, April Roberts of Henderson and Heather Roberts of Asheville; one grandson, Vicktor Norton; a sister Peggy Edwards and husband, Tad of Henderson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Robin Ross. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Freedom Life. Serving as active pallbearers will be Wade Edwards, Viktor Norton, Kevin Dickerson, Paul Manning, Gilbert Francis and Donnie Algood. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Townes, Nathan Nelson and Tad Edwards. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Freedom Life Church of God, 1001 Martin Creek Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
