HENDERSON-Lillian Johnson Tyndall, 87, of 1314 Hargrove Street, departed from this life to be with the Lord in her eternal home Wednesday, May 08, 2019, surrounded by her loved ones at her home.Born in Augusta, Georgia on May 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Butts Johnson and Cenie Johnson Johnson, and was the widow of Hubert Edward "Tweety" Tyndall. Mrs. Tyndall was a homemaker and a loving mother of five.She was a former member of Carey Baptist Church where she took her children for many years.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Robin Farner and Dr. Rev. Michael Hobbs.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by three daughters, Brenda T. Tankersley (Tom) of Henderson, Scenie T. Brake (Don) of Henderson, and Deborah T. Kelly (Jimmie) of Henderson; two sons, Hubert Edward "H.E." Tyndall, Jr. of Henderson, and Curtis L. Tyndall (Edna) of Henderson; one sister, Martha J. Chaplin of Port Royal, SC; nine grandchildren, Justin Caton, Fuller Caton, Regena Hamrick, Chuck Filippone, III, Kim Hedgepeth, Scott Kelly, Matthew Tyndall, Savannah Hampton, and Logan Tyndall; ten great grandchildren, Elizabeth Davis, James Hamrick, Gerri Anna Hedgepeth, Ellie Hedgepeth, Meri Hedgepeth, Tucker Z. Kelly, Mia Kelly, Sarah Scott Kelly, Lila Kelly and Alyssa Filippone; and two great great grandchildren, Lillian Davis and Ava Ruth Kelly.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Agnes Ross, Miriam McAlhaney, and Nell Backus; and two brothers, Lawrence B. Johnson, II and James Johnson.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home on Hargrove Street.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Caton, Fuller Caton, Scott Kelly, Jimmy Barrier, Calvin Davis and Tucker Kelly.
