Lilly Ayscue Boone

HENDERSON- Lilly Mae Ayscue Boone, 81, formerly of Perry Avenue, died Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Wake Medical Center. Born June 5, 1941 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Mattie Mosley Ayscue and Roy Lee Ayscue and was the widow of Robert Henry Boone, Sr. She was a member of Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired from Harriett and Henderson Yarns. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Allen Ayscue. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Boone West of Henderson; her son, Robert Henry Boone, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Silver Springs, FL; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a brother, Roy Ayscue; and two sisters, Sarah Norwood and Margaret Kearney. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Ayscue and Charlie Ayscue. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 P.M.; at other times they will be at the home of Jamie Clopton, 165 Beaver Creek Lane, Henderson, NC 27537. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffrey Clopton, Chris Boone, Jordan Clopton, Ashten Bartley, Colten West and Jesus Robles.
