Linda Lou Champion Harris

HENDERSON-Linda Lou Champion Harris, 78, of Twelve Oaks Lane, died Monday, September 16, 2024 at a local nursing home. Born July 18, 1946 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Virginia Howard Champion Kimball and Royall Champion and was the widow of Chandler Vance Harris. Linda was a member of the former South Henderson Church of Living God. A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Sunset Gardens by Rev. Ricky Easter. She is survived by her son, Royall Vance Harris, and wife, Jeanetfer of Henderson; seven grandchildren, Chance Dalton Harris, Chandler Lewis Harris, Logan Alex Harris, Cody Boyd, Harley Paynter, James Jackson and George Thomas Duke; and a daughter-in-law, Sheree Harris. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Anthony Harris and a grandson, Jacob “Jack” Neelan Harris. The family will receive friends following the service at Sunset Gardens and at other times at the home of her son, 55 Twelve Oaks Lane, Henderson, NC 27537.
