HENDERSON-Linden Earl "Bear"Harris, 72, a resident of 490 Faucette Lane, died Friday, May 15, 2020 at his home.Born in Champaign County, Illinois, he was the son of the late William Clifford Harris and Esther Elizabeth McCall Harris.He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Crawford Sprinkler Company in Raleigh.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Calvin Mills.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Faucette Harris of the home; two sons, Brian T. West and Gene West of Henderson; two sisters, Marylin Barry and Sharon Newland of Illinois; one brother, Larry Harris of Illinois;nine grandchildren, Jessica Strum, Raymond West, Jennifer Eller, Kyleth Allen, Joshua West, Sheri Campbell, Ariel West, Kalei Parrish and Lauren West; and seven great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Keith West, Jr.; one sister, Delose Woods; and two brothers, Bill Harris and Dale Harris.
Serving as pall bearers will be Kyleth Allen, Raymond West, Joshua West, Brandon Shelton, Brandon Strum, and Anthony Allen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bear's memory to J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, NC 27536 to help with funeral expenses.
