Linwood Allen Currin, Sr.

HENDERSON-Linwood Allen Lynn Currin, Sr., age 49, a resident of 3637 Southerland Mill Road, passed away quietly at his home on Thursday, July 7, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on February 15, 1962 in Vance County, he was the son of Elizabeth Morris Currin of Henderson and the late Henry C. Currin.For many years he was employed at T. L. Perkinson Wrecker Service until his health declined.He was previously employed at Leonards Paint and Body Shop in Oxford and Tonys Auto Shop in Henderson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Alicia Michele Pruitt Currin of the home; two daughters, Shannon Currin and April Peoples of Henderson; two sons, Allen Currin, Jr. of Palm Coast, Florida and Brandon Currin of the home; two step-daughters, Heather Adams of Warrenton and Melinda Gourley of Henderson; two step-sons, Tommy Tant of Palm Coast, Florida and Cpl. Jason Perdue of Cherry Point, NC; nine grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and two brothers, Rick Currin of Louisburg and Paul Currin of Henderson.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances C. Dodson; and a grandson, Michael Peoples, Jr.
The family will receive visitors at the home at 3637 Southerland Mill Road in the Epsom Community.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1242 Dabney Drive, Henderson, N. C. 27536.
