She was baptized in the Episcopal Church, and was retired from the former Southern Quilting Co.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Sam Brewer, Aubrey Florence, and George WilliamsBurial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary C. Sanford and husband, Johnny, of Henderson; two sons, Bobby Caraway of Port Orange, Fla. and the Rev. Hubert Titus Caraway, Jr. and wife, Edith, of Delco; five grandchildren, Carrie, Tre, Eli, John, and Michael; and four great grandchildren, Amanda, Hollie, Allen, and Cullen; two sisters, Barbara Cummings of Strasburg, VAand Gladys Burkett of Independence, MO; two brothers, Melvin Roberson of Henderson and Howard Roberson of Princeville.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Titus Caraway, Sr. and one son, David Allen Caraway; one granddaughter Cassandra "Sandi" Ball; three sisters, Doris Williamson, Nellie Weaver, and Ellen Roberson; and five brothers, Clarence Roberson, Willard Roberson, James Roberson, Grover Billy Roberson, and W. H. Roberson.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Mary and Johnny Sanford, 1151 Walter Bowen Road in the Epsom Community.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Hubert Titus Caraway, III, Samuel Elijah Caraway, John Patrick Sanford, Michael Steven Sanford, Tommy Roberson, and Brian Cummings.
