OXFORD-Lloyd Hayes Johnson, 70, a resident of 303 Forest Road, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.Born in Granville County on July 11, 1946, he was the son of Kathryn Baughn Johnson of Oxford and the late Lawrence H. Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was the operations manager for Louisiana-Pacific and Georgia-Pacific Corporations.He was a member of Clearview Church in Henderson and theCouples Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Clearview Church by the Rev. Abidan Shah.Burial will follow in Meadowview Memorial Park in Oxford.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Donna Hodges Johnson of the home; sons, Corey Johnson (fiance, Kristy Burnette) of Wilmington and Clay Johnson of Henderson; and his extended family, Demetria Raper (Kevin), Hugh Taylor (Tiffany), Kaden, Russ, Lane Raper, and Trey and Anna Grace Taylor
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 10 until 11 am at Clearview Church.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Dennis Johnson, Barry Johnson, Charles Robinson, Mark Dickens, Kurt Mulhollen, and Sherby Slaughter.
