HENDERSON- Lois Ellen Day Sahm, 93, of Billy Burwell Road and Birchwood Drive, East Irondequoit, NY, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 at her home. Born December 9, 1930 in Victor, NY, she was the daughter of the late Mildred Esther Robinson Day and Earl Davis Day and was the widow of Ralph Charles Sahm. She was very active in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, as a member of Bay Knoll SDA Church in Rochester, NY and most recently attending SDA Church in Henderson. Lois’ hobbies were vast, she enjoyed crocheting, baking, birdwatching, playing games and playing the organ. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 2pm at Bay Knoll Seventh Day Adventist Church in Rochester, New York. She is survived by her son David Charles Sahm of Rochester, NY, her two daughters, Colleen Ellen Gillette (Jeffrey) of Webster, NY and Marleen Ann Hastings (Jody) of Henderson; three grandchildren, Danielle Edwards (Aaron), Laura Gillette and Branden Gillette; three great-grandchildren, Lillyanna, Brianna and Charles; and her sister, Esther Jones of Maine. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Earl Douglas Day.
