DURHAM-Lona Mae Walker Lewis, age 79, a resident of 204 Hemlock Drive, died Thursday, October 05, 2017, at her home.Born in Warren County on April 16, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William Angus Walker and Virginia Hamm Walker.Mrs. Lewis was a retired Business Manager of the Burlington Mills Union.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Fuller Chapel Christian Church by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence L. Lewis of the home; one daughter, Donna Paulette of Graham; three sisters, Gray Grissom of Durham, Faye Bruccoleri of Florence, SC; and Betty Lou McMullen of Conroe, Texas; one brother, William Walker of Henderson; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 10 until 11:00 AM at Fuller Chapel Christian Church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Edwards, Earl Walker, Larry Parker, Wade Schuster, Al Rivers and Johnny Cheaves.
