HENDERSON-Lonnie Winston Radford, Jr., age 54, a resident of 7339 NC 39 Hwy. S, died Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Wake Medical Center.Born in Nash County on January 25, 1957, he was the son of Ann Overton Radford Marshall of Louisburg and the late Lonnie Winston Radford, Sr.Mr. Radford was the Postmaster at the Kittrell Post Office, a graduate of North Carolina State University, a past president of the Henderson Jaycees, and was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Nancy Johnson Radford of the home; two sons, Jason Scott Radford of Chicago, Illinois and Jeremy Winston Radford of Henderson; one sister, Gaye R. Cawley of Louisburg; one brother, Michael W. Radford of Henderson; and his step-father, James Marshall of Louisburg.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 7339 NC 39 Hwy. S.
A private graveside service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Epsom Volunteer Fire Department, c/o Pam Grissom, 32 Walter Bowen Rd., Henderson, NC 27537.
