HENDERSON- Mrs. Loretta Jensen Bowes, 80, of 3905 Raleigh Road, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born in Vance County on July 14, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Ira M. Jensen and Sue Stanton Griffin.Loretta was a member of Fuller Chapel United Methodist Church and was the owner of Lorettas Beauty Shop.
No services are planned.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Bowes of the home; her son, Freddy Bowes of Wilmington; two daughters, Ava Slater of Henderson and Susan Proctor; six grandchildren, Wendy Pergerson, Fred Michael Bowes, Crystal Bowes, Sandy Proctor, Kelly Smith and Deanna Bowes; a brother, Johnny Griffin (Julie) of Wilson; and three sisters, Dolores Grissom of Kittrell, Charlene Hanford (Alton) and Betty Grissom both of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, April Bowes.
