Louise Wortham Norwood

TOWNSVILLE-Louise Wortham Norwood, age 90, a resident of 12360 NC Hwy. 39 N died Wednesday, August 11, 2010, in a local nursing home.Born in Vance County on February 14, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Robert Heath Wortham and Nannie Watkins Wortham.
Mrs. Norwood was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at Tabernacle United Methodist Church by the Rev. Mark Clark and the Rev. Henry Lovelace.
She is survived by one son, Nathan B. Fleming of Henderson; two daughters, Sylvia F. Anderson of Townsville and Donna N. Canada of Williamston; two step-sons, Charlie Norwood, Jr. of Townsville and Dave Norwood of Clarksville, Virginia; two step-daughters, Joyce Moss of Townsville and Betty Hancock of Clarksville, Virginia; four sisters, Katie Stephenson of Cary, Annie Pearl Eason of Fuquay-Varina, Lorena Cooper of Fayetteville, and Elizabeth Wilson of Miami, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Bryant Fleming and Charlie Norwood, Sr., and one granddaughter.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall ofTabernacle United Methodist Church.
