Lucille W. Wilson

Lucille Watkins Wilson, age 87, a resident of306 Hibernia Rd,died Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Carolina House of Wake Forest. Born Janurary 8, 1928 in Vance Co., she was the daughter of the late Nannie Riddick Watkins and John Clardy Watkins. She was the widow of Frederick Hugh Wilson, Sr. Mrs. Wilson was retired from Vance-Granville Community College andwas a member of Rock Spring Baptist Church where she was the church organist and pianist for many years.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at Rock Spring Baptist Church by the Rev. Gary Brummitt. Burial will follow in the Rock Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy W. Cannoy and husband Jimmy of Townsville; one son Fred H. Wilson, Jr. and wife Mary Jo of Henderson; one sister, Helen W. Moore of Drewry; three grandchildren, Brian Cash, Rick Wilson, and Dan Wilson; two step grandchildren, Michael Harrison and Bill Harrison; three great grandchildren, Leah Cash, John Wilson and Thomas Wilson; and one step great granddaughter, Ella Harrison.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. At other times they will be at the home of Jimmy and Nancy Cannoy 246 Hibernia Rd.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Rock Spring Baptist Church c/o Tracey Moody, PO Box 96 Townsville, NC 27584.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Clifton Capps, Brent Edwards, Tom Fitzgerald, Tommy Jones Darryl McLendon, and Mark Moody.
Arrangements are by the J. M. White Funeral Home.
