Lucy Wiggins Parrott

Lucy Wiggins Parrott, age 74, a resident of 2840 Poplar Creek road, died Tuesday April 12, 2011, at Maria Parham Medical Center. Born on July 29, 1936 in Brunswick Co. Va., she was the daughter of the late Julius Thomas Wiggins and Mary Wortham Wiggins.
Mrs. Parrott was a member of Cole Mill Road Church of Christ in Durham.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Sunset Gardens by Rev. Frank Sossamon.
She is survived by her husband James A. Jimmy Parrott, Jr.; two sons, Jim Parrott and wife Mary Ann and Ronnie Parrott and wife Mitzi all of Henderson; one sister, Mary W. Veasey of Durham; one brother Dr. Joseph F. Wiggins of Henderson; three grandchildren, Dixon Parrott, Harley Parrott and Will Parrott. She was preceded in death by one grandchild Jasper Parrott, one sister, Katherine Forbes and one brother, Jack Wiggins.
The family will receive friends at the home 2840 Poplar Creek Rd in the Dabney Community.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital at St. Jude Tribute Program P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis Tennessee 38148.
