HENDERSON- Madeline Grissom Jones, 91, of Vance County, died Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at WakeMed.Born in Vance County on August 1, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ealie A. Grissom and Deanie C. Grissom.She was retired from ADP Thrift Shop where she worked as the manager and was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Blessed Hope Baptist Church by Dr. Donald A. Perkinson.Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Williams and husband James of Henderson; three sons, Marshall Jones, Jr. and wife Scarlett of Norlina, David T. Jones and wife Sabrina of Henderson, and Mike D. Jones and wife Vera of Henderson; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Robert Jones, Sr.; four brothers, Billy Grissom, Vernon Grissom, Marshall Grissom and Eugene Grissom; and a sister, Estelle G. Paul.
Serving as pallbears will be Joshua Williams, Chris Jones, Jason Jones, Mike Jones, Jr., Robert Jones and Jordan Moss.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 at J.M. White Funeral Home; and at other times at the home of Carolyn and James Williams, 419 Lightwood Way, Henderson, NC 27537.
