Madelyn Baugh Short

Madelyn Baugh Short, age 70, a resident of 2274 N. Lynnbank Road, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on July 15, 1941 in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Baugh and Lillie Deal Baugh.She was retired from Royal Home Fashions and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 38 years where she sang in the church choir and was a former Sunday School and Awana Class teacher.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Gene Wood.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Horace Albert Short of the home; one daughter, Lisa Short Briggs and husband, Robbie of Henderson; two sons, Norman Andy Short and wife, Vickie and Glenn Allen Short all of Henderson; two brothers, Marvin Baugh of Greensboro and Larry Baugh of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren, Delaney Short, Haven Short, Chelsea Briggs, Matthew Briggs, Trenton Short and Macie Short.
The family will receive friends Saturday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 2274 N. Lynnbank Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be: Willie Adcock, Gary Pulley, Chuck Parrish, Billy Overton, C. T. Overton, and John Taylor.
