Mahaley Lockemy Tharrington

Henderson- Mahaley Elizabeth Lockemy Tharrington, 92, died Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at her home.Born in Vance County on December 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Offie R. Lockemy and Mattie Lyles Lockemy.She was a former employee of Harriett and Henderson Yarns, Inc. and was a member of Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, formerly North Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery by Dr. Elvin Butts.
She is survived by a son, Stephen Garland Tharrington and wife, Maybell of Augusta, GA; four grandsons, Gregory Scott Tharrington and wife, Wendy, Sterling Tharrington and wife, Renea, Stewart Tharrington and wife, Michelle and Shafer Tharrington; three great grandchildren, Stephen G. Tharrington, Heather Griffin and Shannon Tharrington; and her faithful longtime friend, Doris Tharrington.
The family will receive friends following the service at Elmwood Cemetery and at other times at the home, 120 Pine Ridge Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
