HENDERSON-Margaret Dickerson Boone, age 90, died Thursday, February 19, 2015, in a local nursing home.Born in Wake County on April 11, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Manual David Dickerson and Bessie Lee Beal Dickerson, and was the widow of James Elton Boone.Mrs. Boone was a retired Dietary Supervisor at High Point Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by four daughters, Bettie B. Tucker of Henderson, Cathie B. Moser of Thomasville, Ann B. Partin of Morrisville,and Frances B. Harvey ofNorth Wilkesboro; one son, William E. Boone of Conover; ten grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra B. Irmen; one son, James David Boone; three grandchildren; and her loving companion, Jess C. Willard.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7 to 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Bettie and Harold Tucker at 941 Buckhorn Street.
Serving as pall bearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family wants to give a special thanks to Jesss family for the love and support of Margaret, a special thanks to Granville House of Oxford, and a very special thanks to Senior Citizens Nursing Home Staff for the care of Margaret in her final days.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions made to Methodist Home for Children, 1041 Washington Street, Raleigh, NC27605.
