Margaret Bridgers Bridges

HENDERSON- Mrs. Margaret Bridgers Bridges, age 99, a resident of 424 Gillburg Road, died August 25, 2015 at her residence.Born June 6, 1916 in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester Thomas Bridgers and Alice Richardson Bridgers and the widow of Robert Eulon Foots Bridges.She was a homemaker and member of Unity Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00 PM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Calvin Hedgepeth.Burial will follow in the Bridges Family Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Alice B. Edwards of Henderson; a son, Jimmie Bridges and wife Jenny of Henderson; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn B. Hill; her brother, James Bridgers; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 1:30 till 3:00 at J.M. White Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Jenny and Jimmie Bridges, 5878 Raleigh Road.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Craig Edwards, Michael Marshburn, Kenneth Collins, Tim Bridges, Reid Bridges, Foster Bridges, Dennis Currin and Peyton Currin.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church, C/O Kathy Abbott, 310 Rock Mill Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
Arrangements are by J.M. White Funeral Home.
