Margaret Louise Buchanan Bowen

HENDERSON-Margaret Louise Buchanan Bowen, age94, a resident of Kerr Lake Nursing and Rehab, and a former resident of 2109 of NC 39S, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on December 31, 1917 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Alex Buchanan and Ethel Edwards Buchanan.Louise was a homemaker and member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Cokesbury United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dennis Peay.Burial will follow in the Cokesbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Betsy B. Aiken of Henderson; one son, David Bowen of Henderson; one brother, Henry Buchanan of Henderson; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Gordon Bowen; and one sister, Lessie Renn.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 till 8:30 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Betsy and Bill Aiken at 1100 Tower Road, in the Cokesbury Community.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Kirby Aiken, Jeff Aiken, Greg Renn, Scott Renn, Page Bowen, and Wayne Bowen.
