Margaret Raynor Roberson

OXFORD-Margaret Raynor Roberson, 89, of Oxford, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Warren Hills Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.

Margaret was born on December 18, 1936 in Vance County, NC to the late Henry Dawson Raynor and Annie Parrott Raynor. She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, attended Dabney School and was a lifelong resident of the Watkins Community. Margaret worked at Lenox China until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking, and taking care of her home and yard.

Margaret is survived by her children, Gail Roberson Allen (Johnny) and Leon Hayden Roberson, Jr. (Connie); four granddaughters, Leslie Allen Mangum (Danny), Allison Allen Pearce, Casey Roberson Ball (Adam), and Chris Roberson Clark (Brent); eight great-grandsons, Alex Pearce, Tyson Pearce, Eli Pearce, Zeke Pearce, William Clark, Hunter Clark, Samuel Ball, and Andrew Ball; two sisters-in-law, Betty Raynor and Mary Frances Norwood; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Hayden Roberson, Sr. and her brother, H.D. Raynor, Jr.

Margaret was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Rehoboth United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Will Breedlove and Rev Josh Woodall. The family will receive friends following the service at the Church.
