Mrs. Margaret "Peggy" Allred Williams, age 62, a resident of 112 Westlake Drive, Henderson, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at Duke Regional Hospital.Born on October 29, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Franklin Allred, Sr. and Marjorie Elizabeth Massee Allred.She was a member of The Church of the Holy Innocents, where she served on the Altar Guild.She was also a member of the Henderson House and Garden Club.Peggy was the owner and operator of PWCruises and previously co-owner and operator of Computing Solutions, Inc. in Monroe, NC.Her life passions included worldwide travel with her husband Jim, her grandchildren, NC State football and her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2:00PM at The Church of the Holy Innocents by Father Don Lowery.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Williams, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Dr. Meg Alden and husband Craig of Winston-Salem; a son, Ken Stokes and wife Cara of Surfside, SC; four grandchildren, Libby Alden, Sam Alden, Grace Stokes, and Autumn Stokes; two brothers, Steve Allred and wife Kathy of Kings Mountain and Rick Allred and wife Margie of Wingate; and her dog, Toby.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Great Hall at The Church of the Holy Innocents and at other times at the home.
