DURHAM- Mrs. Margie Smith Davis Garrett, age 73, a resident of 706 Berry Street, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Duke University Medical Center.
Born on September 21, 1940 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Smith and Louie Mae Champion Smith. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alton Ray Davis and James Garrett. A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Sunset Gardens by Rev. Gary Harper. She is survived by her cousins. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 till 8:30PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Tanya Pearce, 716 S. Carolina Avenue, Henderson, NC 27536.
