Maria Briggs Roberson

HENDERSON- Maria Briggs Roberson, age 86, a former resident of Zollicoffer Avenue, died Friday, October 21, 2016, in a local nursing home.Born on July 1, 1930 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Wester Briggs and Mamie Bobbitt Briggs.
Maria was formerly employed at Americal and was a member of Fuller Chapel United Church of Christ.
A memorial service will be held Monday night at 6 pm at Fuller Chapel United Church of Christ by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue.
She is survived by one daughter, Vickie R. Ball and husband, Randy of Henderson; one son, C. T. Roberson, Jr. and wife, Sharlene of Henderson; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Marie Briggs Roberson, and sisters Margaret Boyd and Emma Ausborn; one brother, Hartwell Briggs; and four infant brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of Fuller Chapel Untied Church of Christ.At other times they will be at the home of C.T. and Sharlene Roberson at 2165 Jacksontown Road in the Middleburg Community.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fuller Chapel United Church of Christ Building Fund, c/o Christie Pulley, 771 Edwards Road, Henderson, NC27537.
