HENDERSON-Marianne Kathleen Collins, age 56, a resident of 2510 Oxford Road, died Thursday, November 14, 2013, at the Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.Born on October 14, 1957 in Guilford County, she was the daughter of Harry Mitchell Collins and Barbara Bishop Collins of Henderson.Marianne was a senior examiner with the NC Department of Motor Vehicles and was a member of The Church of The Holy Innocents.
A memorial service will be held Saturday night at 6 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Donald A. Lowery.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Ashley Macon Pearsall of the home; one brother, Mitch Collins and wife, Rachel of Henderson; a special cousin, Ashley Bishop of Summerville, SC; her best friend, Suzanne Carmel of Bahama; and many other close family and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 4:30 until 6 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Mitch and Rachel Collins at 408 Aycock Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 914, Henderson, NC 27536 or to the Vance County Humane Society, PO Box 1552, Henderson, NC 27536.
