HENDERSON-Marie Wilson Gray, 73, a resident of 724 Cardinal Drive, died Friday, June 09, 2017, at her home.Born in Vance County on June 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Raymond Wilson and Mary Florence Hunt Wilson and was the widow of John Lafayette Gray.Marie was a member of Island Creek Baptist Church and was the receptionist at Variety Wholesale.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am at Island Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Marshall J. Neathery.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two nieces, Angela Norwood Matthews and Susan Wilson Nutt; and one nephew, Bobby Lane Wilson, Jr. all of Henderson.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Lane Wilson, Sr.; and one nephew, Clyde Warren Wilson.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 until 8 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at her home at 724 Cardinal Drive.
Serving as active pall bearers will be James Wheeler, Nathan Fleming, Sonny Hicks, John Rice, Gene Vaughan, and Roy Tippett..
