HENDERSON- Marie Diane Stokes Hilliard, 61, of 613 S. Cooper Drive, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at her home.Born in Vance County on August 19, 1957 she was the daughter of the late Linwood Lee Stokes and Doris Ivey Harris.She was retired from Burger King where she worked as an assistant manager and attended Grace Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 3:00 PM by Rev. Calvin Mills at Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by a daughter, Cristy McDaniel Creech and husband, Scott of Louisburg; a son, Earl Ray McDaniel, Jr. and wife, Ashley of Henderson; two sisters, Linda Gray Stokes Squires of Raleigh and Edith Lorraine Stokes Rodriguez of Tampa, FL; four brothers, Linwood Lee Stokes, Jr., John Thomas Stokes, Charles Edward Stokes and Robert Eugene Stokes, all of Henderson; three grandchildren, Kendall McDaniel, Nathan McDaniel and Ethan Creech; and a great-grand daughter, Kenvor Jayne McDaniel.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 till 3:00 PM at Sunset and at other times they will be at the home of Ray and Ashley McDaniel, 103 Westlake Drive, Henderson, NC 27537.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 1815 S. Clearview Drive, Henderson, NC 27536.
