Marie Williamson Horner

Marie W. Horner HENDERSON- Marie Ann Williamson Horner, 74, of Crest Road, died Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Maria Parham Health. Born August 26, 1949 in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Bessie Lee Conn Williamson and Melville G. Williamson. Marie was a retired teacher’s assistant with the Vance County School System. She loved reading and putting puzzles together. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 10, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Johnny Yount. Marie is survived by two daughters, Michelle Horner Wood and husband, Barry of Henderson and Jeannie Horner Edwards of Henderson; a grandson, William Horner; and a great-granddaughter who she loved dearly and who was the light of her life, Christina Horner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home and at other times, at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society, 165 US Hwy 158 Bypass Henderson, NC 27537.
