KITTRELL-Marilove Moss Spencer, age 83, a resident of 156 Buffalo Mill Road, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at her home.Born on April 5, 1930 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Lee Moss and Lille Mae Brown Moss.Mrs. Spencer was the retired bookkeeper of Buffaloe Milling Company.She was a member of Plank Chapel United Methodist Church, the Plank Chapel Senior Circle and the Allen Bible Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00PM at Plank Chapel United Methodist Church by Dr. Carolyn Roy.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Bullard and husband, Michael, of Manson, and Dianne S. Benton and husband, Clay, of Angier; two sons, James Kade Spencer, III and wife, Brooks, of Culpepper, VA and Johnnie Daryl Spencer and wife, Christine, of Kittrell; six grandchildren, Aaron Spencer and wife, Heather, Daniel Spencer, Jay Spencer, Wil Stanton, Nicole Koons, and Lillian Dawson King and husband Lin; five great grandchildren; a special niece, Jeannine Flynn and a special nephew, Charles Faulkner.She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kade Spencer, Jr.; one granddaughter, Leigh Anne Stanton and a sister, Geraldine Moss Badala.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of Plank Chapel United Methodist Church.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Bruce Newman, Pete Newman, Herbie Grissom, C. W.
Hedgepeth, Thomas Beckman, and Tommy Cottrell.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Plank Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund.
