HENDERSON-Marjorie Williams Gregg, age 87, a former resident of Jennette Avenue, died Sunday, June 07, 2015, at Duke University Medical Center.Born on April 7, 1928in Mt. Olive, she was the daughter of the late John Burnice Williams and Sadie Brock Williams, and was the widow of Dickson Russell Gregg.
She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was the former Financial Secretary.Marjorie was a member of the Joy/Currin Sunday School Class and a former member of the choir.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 am at the First Baptist Church by Dr. Ronald S. Cava.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen G. Lilley of Dunn and Marilyn G. Lassiter and husband, Robert, of Henderson; four grandchildren, Meredith Westerand husband, Kevin, Scott Lilley, Jennifer Lassiter and fiance, Stephen Alessi, and Kate Parker and husband, Joshua; and one great grandchild, Brinley Wester.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at First Baptist Church.
At other times they will be at the home of Marilyn and Robert Lassiter at 1243 Oakridge Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, PO Box 75, Henderson, NC27536.
The family would like to thank the staff of Kerr Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for their kind and loving care during her time there.
