Mark Thomas Wortham, age 45, 2116 Longmont Dr. Wake Forest, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on March 5, 1970 in Vance County, he was the son of Marvin Thomas Bud Wortham and Carolyn Buchanan Wortham of Henderson.He was a member of First Baptist Church Henderson and was a computer technician for Document Systems, Inc.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm at First Baptist Church Henderson by Rev. Brent Kasey and Dr. Ronald S. Cava.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Lori Michelle Martin of the home; his beloved friend and Boykin Spaniel, Jackson; his father-in-law, Phillip T. Martin of the home; and his mother-in-law, Kathy E. Martin of Roxboro.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Carolyn and Bud Wortham, 861 Carey Chapel Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Paul Gill, Craig Williamson, Michael Roberson, Tracy Greenway, Billy Wortham, Thedric Mosley, Jeff Tate and Wayne Seaman.Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Eric Williamson, Joel Tate, Starr Faulkner, Steven Brame, Greg Greenway, James Goodwin and all employees of Document Systems, Inc.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to North Henderson Baptist Church, 1211 N. Garnett Street or First Baptist Church, PO Box 75 Henderson, NC 27536 or Boykin Spaniel Rescue, C/O Katherine Garstang, 1624 Yorktown Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22901, www.boykinspanielrescue.org.
