BUXTON-Marsha Lee Edwards Hanssen, age 60, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at her home.Born in Vance County on August 25, 1955, she was the daughter of Laura Raines Edwards Pearce of Kittrell and the late James Lee Edwards.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Buxton, and a private memorial services will be held at Sunset Gardens in Henderson for her family.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her step-father, Tommie J. Pearce of Kittrell; one daughter, Marianne Edwards Murchison of Henderson; two grandchildren, Charles David Lowmanof Raleigh and Payton Danielle Hunt of Henderson; her special nephew, Cameron Talley of Kittrell; one sister, Joanie Dickerson of Kittrell; and one brother, Steve Edwards of Kittrell.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Rodney Eugene Edwards and Charles David Edwards; and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Raines.
The family will receive friends at the home of Joanie and Jeff Dickerson at 169 Rocky Ford Road, Kittrell, NC27544.
