Marta Thomasina Brooks, age 53, a resident of 1411 Quail RunApt. D., died Monday, November 28, 2011 at her home.Born on January 31, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Brooks and Marta Rose Jackson Brooks.Marta was a Customer Service Representative for A.C.S., and was a member of Freedom Life Church Of God where she sang in the church choir.She was also an active volunteer for Lifetime Outreach Ministries.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 6:00 pm at Freedom Life Church Of God by the Rev. Jeff Prewer.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Walter Jordan, II of Pisgah Forest, NC; and two daughters, Brittany Nicole Brooks of Chicago, Illinois and Mary Brooks of Maryland.
The family will receive friends Sunday night immediately following the service at Freedom Life Church Of God.At other times they will be at the home of Rochelle and Wilbert Johnson at 1355 Rock Mill Road, Henderson.
