Martha Hoyle Duncan, age 71, a resident of 180 Quarry Lane, died Monday, June 05, 2017 at Duke Medical Center. Born in Vance Co. on March 25, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Clifton Alexander Hoyle and Mable Franklin Hoyle and was the widow of Wesley Duncan. Martha was a waitress at the former Motor Freight Truck Stop and attended Mount Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 pm at Mount Ararat Pentecostal Holiness by the Rev. Allen Ayscue. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by one daughter, Martha J. Woodruff (Alvin) of Henderson; two sons, Howard Faucette, Jr. (Joyce Ann) and James Faucette (Sandra) all of Henderson; three sisters, Carolyn H. Pernell of Wake Forest, Ruth H. Garver of Garner, and Rachel H. Shelton of Bunn; one brother, C.H. Hoyle of Wake Forest; 14 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Dale Faucette: one sister, Edith H Ayscue; one brother, John Hoyle; and one granddaughter, Anita Woodruff Weaver.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of Howard and Joyce Ann Faucette, 319 Faucette Lane.
Serving as pall bearers will be Tracey Satterwhite, Keith Robertson, Calvin Hunt, Stephen Ellington, Joshua Oliver, Steven Jurries, Ernest Jackson, and Larry Wayne Satterwhite.
