Marvin Lewis , Jr.

WAKE FOREST- Marvin Lewis Jr., 77, a resident of Groveton Trail, died Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Durham Ridge Assisted Living. Born March 20, 1945 in Marion, South Carolina he was the son of the late Ernestine Johnson Lewis and Marvin Lewis, Sr. Marvin was a member of Richland Creek Community Church in Wake Forest. Funeral service will be held Sunday February 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Pastor John Wright. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lantz Dill Lewis of the home; his son, Tommy Lewis (Amy); two grandchildren, Carlee Lewis and Keaton Lewis; a brother, Roger Lewis (Shirley); four sisters, Brenda Autry (Danny), Jeannette Hicks (Homer), Betty Brogden (Ricky), and Geraldine Reynolds; three step-children; six step-grandchildren; and one step-great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosolene Leonard Lewis; a daughter, Teresa Darlene Lewis; a grandson, Christopher Scott Kindred; a brother, Joe Lewis and a sister, Bobbie Lewis. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Brame, Ricky Brogden, Derrick McClay, Donovan House, Clint Willis, Ryan Ayscue, Kenny Overfield, and Tim Lewis. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home.
