Mary Ann Beal Allison

KITTRELL- Mary Ann Beal Allison, 91, of Crater Lane, died Monday, July 27, 2026 at Hampton Manor. Born April 12, 1935 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Mary Francis Short Beal and Lewis Walter Beal, Sr. Mary Ann was a homemaker who loved gardening and sewing but above all cherished being a mother, grandmother and housewife.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, August, 1, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. by Rev. Dale Eatmon at Sunset Gardens Cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Melissa Ann Nowell (Richard) and Jaqueline “Jackie” Watkins Cornish, both of Kittrell; a son, Dennis Vann Watkins (Tina) of Wilson; ten grandchildren, Sheena Eatmon, J.R. Eatmon (Crystal), Rebecca Cornish, Charles Nickles Cornish, III (Stacy Riddick), Chris Nowell (Brooke), Geoffrey Nowell (Jennifer), Cody Watkins (Taylor), Alex Watkins, Christy Watkins and David Elliott (Jamie); twelve great grandchildren, James Eatmon, Hunter Eatmon, Shyenne Eatmon, Charles Nickles Cornish, IV, Caitlin McNamara, Cheyenne Chambliss, Autumn Chambliss, Piper Watkins, Valerie Watkins, Brooklyn Watkins, Zoi Williams and Iola Williams; and two sisters, June Overby and Bessie Wortham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Almon Watkins, Jr. and John Allison; a son, Robert Almon Watkins, III; four brothers, Bruce Beal, Lewis Walter Beal, Jr., Frank Beal and John Beal; and two sisters, Betty Hope and Evelyn Jackson.

The family will receive friends following the service at Sunset Gardens on Saturday as well as the home after the service.
